I visited Lenox mall on a Tuesday at 1:00 pm. I don’t normally shop at this mall because I can’t afford anything but since my friend was going I thought to seize the moment. After rambling around aimlessly in the Gap, whose unfortunate vanity sizing has gotten way out of control, I set about to snap some photos. The mall didn’t seem crowded but the food court was packed with what I assume were office workers and tourists (Because of the white sneakers & bewildered expressions).
The middle of the mall is flooded with natural light and the second floor features regular openings to gain multiple views of multiple stores. The design creates an easy passage and flow between levels, from store to store, with little vendors along the way to encourage even more shopping.
There is plenty of seating scattered throughout the arcade of the mall. Check out this unbelievably oversized comfortable looking thing. You could probably take a nap in this after buying whatever Fendi stores sell. Here one can take a moment to think about future purchases.

So safe that it’s patrolled by unarmed lady security guards on segways. See her in the distance?
Very interesting about the friendly security guard, and about people dining at the mall at lunch--do you think they worked in the mall, or came specifically to eat there? What other ways does this mall stimulate consumption?
